How And When Aerobic Exercise Began
Aerobic exercise is a popular type of physical exercise that is associated with anaerobic exercises. As aerobic exercise use oxygen to let the muscle generate energy, it can include many types of exercising form. However, aerobic exercise is normally concentrated mainly on exercises that are performed at intensity levels that may be described as moderate and exercises that are performed for extended lengths of time. Aerobic exercise can help you maintain a higher heart rate. The oxygen is used to burn fats and glucose to produce adenosine triphosphate. Adenosine triphosphate is the carrier of basic energy for every cell in your body. During the beginning of aerobic exercises, glycogen will get broken down to produce glucose. However, if there is no glucose present, it will result in fat starting to decompose. The process of decomposition of fat takes quite a long time and will result in your performance levels going down. There are many types of different aerobic exercises. The usual types of aerobic exercises are the ones that are performed at high levels of intensity and take quite a long time. Any physical activity with a continuous motion can be termed as an aerobic exercise, although activities that include frequent breaks cannot be considered as an aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise is an exercise method that was developed by Kenneth H. Cooper. He was an exercise physiologist who was working in the US Air Force. Being a person who is greatly enthused by exercising, he was puzzled as to why some people can perform better when others performed poorly. Because of this, he started to measure human's performances that sustained it by using oxygen. He measured human's systematic performance with the use of a bicycle ergo meter. He took out the book called Aerobics in 1969 which included exercise programs that were scientifically used for running, walking, swimming and bicycling. A major criticism of aerobic exercise is that it is not suitable for professional requirements of people such as athletes, combatants, and even police and fire personnel. The reason for this may be because aerobic exercise does not provide muscular strength, especially strength in the upper body which is required of them.
